  • Leads PTA events & general meetings
  • Works with the principal's secretary
  • Creates flyers for PTA events & activities

 

Vice President (1-2 year terms)

  • Assists the President
  • Creates & schedules social media posts
  • Updates the PTA website & calendar
  • Attends all meetings & events
  • Volunteers at events

 

Treasurer (1-2 year terms)

  • Cash management
  • QuickBooks ledger
  • Budgeting
  • Balance sheet reporting
  • Disbursement requests
  • IRS 990
  • MD charitable organization registration
  • Review bank statements
  • 501c3 group exemption
  • Responsible for card reader/PayPal
  • AIM insurance
  • Conduct financial reviews

 

Secretary (1-2 year terms)

  • Prepares meeting agendas alongside President
  • Writes minutes during meetings
  • Attend meetings
  • Volunteer at events

 

VP of Ways & Means- Navy Parking (1-2 year terms)

  • Acts as the primary liaison with Navy operations staff
  • Coordinates with the county to secure necessary permits
  • Manage the partnership with Phoenix Academy
  • Creates sign-up sheets, recruit volunteers & provide training
  • Designate gameday contacts
  • Works with Treasurer to secure starter funds & hand off proceeds

 

Volunteer Coordinator (1-2 year terms)

  • Coordinates volunteer needs for PTA events & school admin/faculty
  • Communicates volunteer opportunities with families
  • Support Community School needs
